How to use: It is recommended that your ThermalEyes heat pack is heated in the microwave for 20 seconds on high and then placed over closed eyes for 5 minutes. For best results use every night.
Usage tips:
Use tissues to cover the entire heat pack to prolong the lifespan of the heat pack. We suggest using two tissues; one for the microwave, which you should promptly throw away afterwards in case it has food scraps on it, and another to add layers to the hot heat pack. The hotter the heat pack is, the more layers of tissues you may want to use. Your eyes may water after being heated and the tissues come in handy. Additionally, it keeps your ThermalEyes heat pack clean and free of make-up, ready to use for next time.
Make sure the heat pack stays in contact with the eyelids for most effective treatment. Using your finger, separate the bag into two halves so that the rice is on either side of your nose as this saves the nose from getting too hot when applying the heat pack.
Don’t have a microwave? No problem... ThermalEyes heat packs can be heated in a conventional oven (with extreme caution). Turn your oven on to 140C° for normal ovens and 120C° for fan forced ovens. Place the heat pack onto a baking tray and place into the middle of the oven for 10 minutes. Test on your forearm before placing over your eyes. If the heat is not warm enough then return to the oven for a further 3-5 minutes.
Storing your ThermalEyes heat pack: It is suggested that your ThermalEyes heat pack be kept in an airtight container or sealed ziplock bag. You can also permanently store your ThermalEyes heat pack in the freezer in a ziplock bag.
